This is Catemaco in Veracruz, México. This is, without a doubt, the most daring, serious and dangerous journey we can offer you. Catemaco has the highest concentration of sorcerers and witchcraft in the world per square metre. Not all of them can be trusted. However, there are some of the most powerful practitioners in the world. And it is an absolutely fascinating place. A journey into another world, into another atmosphere and into the purest Taboo.
You will meet some of the best and will be able to energetically cleanse yourself or negotiate your private orders privately. We do not enter into this and do not even promote it. We just show you the way and take care that everything goes as smoothly as possible. That you enjoy a unique experience that is inaccessible to many people.
“The sorcerers operating in this area advise not to enter the cave without a purpose. Nevertheless, we take you to this truly unique place in the world. To get there you need to be in a certain good shape. You don’t need to be an athlete or a mountaineer, but you do need to be in good health. It is up to each visitor to decide whether or not to enter. Although the adventure without actually entering is unforgettable in itself”.
If you want to visit the most famous cave of black witchcraft, we warn you that you must be prepared to walk a good distance of about 120 minutes through the interior of the jungle of southeastern Mexico. This “walk” is done guided by a shaman or witch who knows the area and who looks after those who go to this place. There are people who are influenced by being sensitive to telluric or spiritual energies and some must avoid this part of the visit. However, local people know well how to proceed and make the necessary safety observations.
There used to be many crocodiles in this area, although nowadays it is unlikely to find them, as most of them have been gradually moved to the Nanciyaga Ecological Reserve. Nevertheless, some dangerous animals such as jaguars and snakes can be found here. The area is also inhabited by howler and spider monkeys such as the Agaltepec, Tanaxpillo and Togochillo, as well as baboons. Inside the cave live thousands and thousands of cockroaches, the most abundant insect of all. And at dusk, hundreds of bats complete their entrance and exit to the cave in an eerie spectacle.
The cave can be a harsh and unpleasant experience for sensitive people and it is not uncommon to find sacrificial remains and parts of both animals and humans. It is never recommended to visit without the company of a well-placed local person. In our experiences we have sought the direct assistance of one of the witchdoctors operating in the area.
