This almost deserted village is populated by life-size dolls made by an old woman to replace the inhabitants who have died or left. It is a reflection on loneliness and abandonment. Seeing the dolls in houses, fields and benches creates a surreal and disturbing feeling. There are more dolls (about 350) than living people (less than 30).
